I think this video is more the L3 scope, but the Vortex scope won I think. They look similar and do similar stuff. Garand Thumb did a video on the actual scope. When people talk about going to a larger caliber, I think they are not thinking of the NGSW as a whole package. It’s not only this crazy pressure 6.8mm round, but this scope as well. It gives the shooter the ability to make 1st round impacts out as far as the round can. So I only have 20rd mags, but I’m drilling my target at say 800m every time. I literally point and click and I’m on target. As opposed to 5.56mm and a LPVO at say 600m. Where if I am a decent marksman I’m hopefully in the general area of the target so I can suppress them.

But to answer that question, the US is in oil fields there protecting and supporting Kurds who rightfully belong there so that they aren't genocided (AGAIN) and their natural resources aren't scooped up and stolen by Russians, Iran, etc. It's really that simple. The US benefits by having people who want to trade with us in control of the oil, and the Kurds benefit from being able to actually profit off the land that they rightfully live on and own. Also 2:50 ISIS didn't win in Afghanistan, the Taliban did. Taliban and ISIS-K are battling each other still today.

Ukraine uses a large scope of rifles now, including C7's and C8's from the Netherlands. Which are superior to what even the US has by default. Although I am unknown with the SIG XM7 to be perfectly fair. AK-74's are very easy and cheap to make. In Ethiopia for example they apparently cost 40-50 USD but are highly likely used models that have quite a age to them. But generally in new state 1000-3000 USD range depending on the source. Netherlands using the C7 and C8 (from both Colt as Diemace), Heckler & Koch HK416A5 and Heckler & Koch HK417 (last one however pretty much identical to the HK416A5 but has a longer barrel and using 7.62mm instead. So thats 4 rifles for the Netherlands, not 2 and also what's mentioned in the video regarding the HK416 isn't true. As mentioned above, Ukraine is receiving a lot of older C7's and C8's in refurbished variants. This including several mods to make them more competitive in the field. Like scopes for example. You can know it's a Dutch C7/C8 if it has a QR code just above the mag.
